ABOUT ASH - Artists Simply Human

When Artists Simply Human’s first event was held in December of 2010, it was with the intent to bring together dancers, teachers, parents and a world-renowned faculty from around the globe for a spectacular, one time dance event. It was such an amazing success that we realized we had to do this again, thus the ASH Dance Convention was born. ASH’s mission is to provide an unequaled dance experience that challenges dancers as artists, and inspires them to be the best they can be in both dance and life. Our faculty is passionate about teaching and supporting the dancers, helping them to reach their full potential and growth in every class. We celebrate movement with classes in multiple genres including Contemporary, Hip Hop, Ballet, Contemporary Ballet, Tap, Jazz Funk, Fusion and Improv.

The diverse Artists Simply Human faculty consists of the industry’s top choreographers, dancers and teachers from the commercial, concert and university worlds. Their credits range from the Directors of Complexions Contemporary Ballet, to choreographers for Pink, Britney Spears, Janet Jackson and Jennifer Lopez, to an Emmy Award Winning Choreographer, and everything in between. They teach classes with passion, and they all love sharing their dance knowledge and life experiences, making sure each dancer feels special and inspired.

On the threshold of our 13th season, we continue to reflect on our past and to renew our spirits for what lies ahead. With an uncertain future, our stability and energy come from our reaffirming who we are as individuals, a community of artists, and as a company devoted to equity and excellence. ASH will continue to be a leader in innovative dance education and in providing safe and inclusive spaces for people of every ethnicity, race, religion, gender, and sexual orientation. At our events, our dancers, teachers, and parents will learn about dance, and they will experience our core values of inclusivity, diversity, and equality. Because the ASH family is grounded in unconditional love, we want everyone to feel embraced with connection, respect, and warmth from our collective staff, crew, assistants and faculty.
